ukg represents the broad spectrum of the sounds they have been killing clubs and festivals with over the past 18 months: Garage, Bassline, House and Grime.
Familiar tracks 'Vibsing Ting', 'Ghosts' and 'Only One' join 7 more previously unheard tracks written after their huge 25 date UK tour finished in December in the studio in the spiritual home of t q d, Leeds.
ukg is only the second LP on Butterz following Swindle's 'Peace, Love & Music' in 2015 and is the first project that the full crew got to work on. From Swindle & Skilliam sharing production credits on 'New Day' to resident art director David Kelly and photographer James Gould handling all visual elements.
17/3/2020 UPDATE - It's the third anniversary of UKG and to celebrate we are sharing a montage of some of our favourite moments via the 'Three Eyes' video, the final track on this album.
The scene was in a completely different place when we made this album, and we are glad to see so many people come up, release sick music and start movements that will keep UK Garage and Bassline burning.
We want to say thank you to all the ravers, promoters, venues and festivals that supported this project. There are too many names to mention. But a special shout to the Bass Fest team and ravers, those shows back in 2016 really changed the game for the entire scene, and one more for the Boomtoon crew. The My Nu Leng b2b upped the levels once more.
We have added DJ Q's edit of Three Eyes to the package as well as some bonus tracks from Royal-T and Flava D.
2016 to 2019 was a crazy ride and for now, TQD will be resting. Who know's what the future holds in this uncertain time, but stay safe over the next few months, and hopefully one day we will all rave together again.
